Assistant Teacher/Intern

Little Flower Day Care and Learning Center is looking for a dedicated Assistant Teacher/Intern for the 2021-2022 school year. A part-time position is available in our Tulips classroom serving 11 children ages 2.5-12 years during summer and 2-6 during the school year. Working hours will be from 8:30 AM- 2:30 PM and can be extended further during the school year, if needed

The Assistant/Intern teacher
- enjoys working with young children
- is positive, energetic, punctual and flexible
- Is willing to learn about the Montessori philosophy and participate in professional development
- Is good with communication skills and is graceful and courteous

 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to
- Supporting children with patience and care in all daily activities while nurturing independence
- Maintaining the order, readiness and cleanliness of the classroom and shared building spaces
- Maintaining overview of classroom activity during individual and group lessons
-Willing to assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the curriculum consistent with the Montessori Philosophy
 

Qualifications

High School Diploma, minimum age 18 years.

Trainings completed - Child Care Basics, CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications. The candidate will be required to successfully pass a background check prior to hiring

Compensation

We offer $15-$20/hr as compensation, depending on experience and training
